Picture Request of a Certain Snake......

Heather Feb 08, 2003 10:51 AM

A While back I was thinking about getting a Corn Snake and I posted a bunch of questions. One Person replied and posted a few pics of Their snakes saying they were Her Daughters or something like that. In that post Was one of the most beautiful Snakes I've ever seen. It was a Motley and the coloring was Silver/Grey with Black Markings. It wasn't a ghost but I can't remember what morph it was.... So If you are the one with this snake or have one similar to it, PLEASE! repost the picture and tell me what it was. It was BEAUTIFUL! And I'd like to see what they go for. The person said they got it at a Reptile show if that helps any..... PLEASE post the pic and tell me which morph it is... I's really like to see it again. Thanks.

I personally don't have a picture of one, but it sounds like it was an Anerythristic Motley, probably a hurricane, but not necessarily.

Check out these pictures of Don S.'s snakes to see if it looks like the one you are talking about. He sells them for $50-75, depending on if it's a regular motley or a hurricane motley.

The first one I think looks closer to it but not exactly like it (YES! I know every snake is a little different).... I can't rememeber exactly what it looks like but I think the spots on it's back were black........ Or maybe the were lighter in the middle...... I can't remember... I hate having a bad memory! But that word "Anerythristic" sounds familiar. Thanks so much for the help!

Heather,
Here is another anerythristic motley. Did it look like this one at all?

It was more silver bodied and blacker markings and didn't have a yellow belly.....

Anerythristic hatchlings are about 100 times prettier than Anerythristic adults. They have those ideal blacks and almost silver-colored grays.

As they mature, I'm pretty sure they all lose at least some of that original coloration. And many (some? most?) develop yellows.
