And yet more Z action..........

JKruse May 06, 2010 01:32 AM

They're goin' wild over here this year........all the combinations are right -- from the cooler and longer brumation, to keeping ambient temps cool, to smaller and frequent meals, to utilizing z stacks, and so on.......all the factors have created for a phenomenal breeding season thus far. Every pair of z's (with the exception of a few pairs that I intentionally w/held from breeding for one reason or another) has locked up with gusto. I foresee many-a-late nights getting the young to feed if my predictions are correct.

The latest: Coastal z's Gone Wild......(multifasciata)

WWOW!

You already know the coastal z's are my number one favorite zonata.

I just wish they were more avaliable through captive breeding. Maybe now well see more of these.

HOORAY FOR ALL THE AGGRAVATING LATE NIGHT FEEDINGS!..LMAO!

Sounds like you found the perfect zonata "pay-dirt" recipe that should not be "fixed" from now on!

I will definitely be sharing what happens on this end.....if all goes according to what I'm hoping for, I should be offering SIX ssp of zonata this year, with a variation or two of a couple differnt ssp to boot. Fingers are tightly crossed as we're almost half way down the pike so far. I really hope you're having an exciting year as i am.....

Still have a couple stragglers from last year that are just obnoxious. *sigh*

Coastal z . . . .
