2010 AMBERDER CORN

steveroylance1 May 06, 2010 04:15 PM

The more I look at these the more I think of the name Zombie Corn for them. They have that Pale deathly look to them. I dont know just a thought. I may just start calling them that and see if it catches on.

If you put a tiny little black T-shirt on them, you could call them "GOTH" corns. They would blend in well at any herp show..LOL!

Nice looking animal!

An Amberder is an Amber Lavender. This is what Ive seen others refer to them as. I dont like it though. Its like calling a Sunkissed Creamsicle Bloodred a Sunsicleoodred. Dont like it!lol

call me crazy but wouldn't amber lavender or lavender amber or even hypo caramel lavender work?
If they are going to get a trade name instead of being called what they are, then Zombie is a much better choice. It would just take a while for most people to recognise zombie as hypo caramel lavender.
amberder is terrible

I was just thinking of a replacement for Amberder. Yes Amber Lavender works also.

could just call it BES...as in blacked eyed snow, as it basically looks like a snow corn with black eyes to me. Zombie doesn't really fit, Amberder at least indicates what it takes to make one.

WHOA! dont wanna confuse anyone. Black eyed Snow would really throw people off. There is no Anery or Amel involved, so that wouldnt make any sense in genetic terms. Thanks for the input.

Heh shows how much I know about what makes an amber or lavender corn LOL...thought both had some anery and/or amel in them. Guess you could call them Lambs

awesome! thanks for sharing! I've been calling them Lambers, only cause I think the name is funny. I'm about a month away from producing some of my own. Very pretty! But yeah, Amberder sounds like some sort of sandwich to me...

I'm with you Brian
lavamber would be much better.
I obviously have no say in what is or isn't used but at least I'm still allowed to voice my opinion...so....amberder, to me, is well....stupid, sorry but I hate it.
Amber is pretty obvious but "der"?....come on.
There are "trade names" given to many combos... ghost, snow, amber, opal to mention a few... so why not Zombie?

You bring up another good point, Brian....the snake does look great doesn't it?
