Pygmy Pine Snake

monklet May 07, 2010 03:24 PM

So, my P. d. deppei girl just shed. She's really coloring up and seems much more calm today, but just won't eat enough to grow! Currently been between 85-88 grams for at least 2 months now...but she did gurge once three meals back. Since that she's been fine and seems really healthy...just really small.

hey... can you do me a favor and show a pic of that snake in hand for size reference? Curious how large an 85 gram animal. Lost my scale a few years back so I completely forget. thanks!

This is the only one I have now taken Oct. 7th, 2009 ...not much bigger if at all now. This was before I was taking measurements. She's probably about 22 inches. Maybe if I line breed her I can get it down to a 10 inch mature adult

She looks way more yellow in this pic than she did at that time but now she looks really yellow in real life..kind of interesting. She'll be a knockout when/if she ever gets some size.

No kidding, she's already a knockout now!

She is pretty. I am always excited for my snakes to grow up, but then once they are I look back and miss when they were small.... so enjoy her even if she is a smaller one forever!

looks similar to a chain king.

She looks very similar to my girl. Mine isn't growing as fast as I'd like either, but she's an 08 and is about three feet. She's more yellow in real life. The white areas are more of a light yellow, doesn't show in the pics.
