I'm thinking of calling them Diablo Boas, but if you have suggestions I'm all ears. They kind of glow in the dark when they're shaded or not in direct sunlight.

my friend who took the pics is not a herper and did not capture the reds in boas. Kind of a disapointment.By the way we did get the skin off the tail of the T-Pos lol.

Beautiful looking little group of boas. Congratulations!
Congrats, thats a really cool Ca litter..they look awesome!
Congrats buddy! They look fantastic.
BTW, you're going to be a grandpa today or tomorrow. The sunglow jungle you produced in 06 had her waxy stool yesterday. Bred to the motley het albino from the Sutherlands.
Thanks Matt I hope that female does you right and you have a ton of colorful babies. Where's EK we need another barbaque.
Now that is "El Diablo Rosa" if I ever saw it!

Thanks and I do like the name. But let's shorten the name to EL DIABLO BOA.
Congratulations Derek!!! I'm glad you hit on the odds. I'm hoping the odds gods smile on me too and I can join you in the Blood T dance!! I'll bet they will just get better and better as they mature just like the T do........we'll need welding masks to look at them as adults!! LOL

Thanks Tom. It seems like I waited forever for the parents to get to size lol. I've never bred Nics so I didn't know what to expect as she would be active at night weeks before her due date. The pics do not do them justice as the red is real clean from the T-Pos. Are you expecting some this year?
I tried with one female last year and didn't make the odds!!! I did get 3 male blood boas poss het T that will work out well in the future. I am still surprised at how small the adult double hets are even compared to the pure Nics.........I'm assuming the pure, original line of blood boa is responsible for that as the female blood was probably the smallest female I have ever bred!!!
Even though they are good eaters, they just never seemed to get as big as I thought they should even compared with the Nics! This year I'm doubling my odds with 2 gravid females but double recessive and small litters don't always work out!!! Congratulations again and good luck with your other litters.

Yup the DH female is no more than 4.5 ft. Can't wait to see what double recessive babies you'll have, I guess I'll just have to wait lol.
Those are beautiful, excuse my ignorance.....what are they? Some kind of Central American morphs? Simply gorgeous.
It's a Blood T-Postive Nic.
thanks
Yeah you weren't kidding when you said you didn't really like the pictures lol those look nothing like the little "sticks of dynamite" that i saw in person lol
Can you believe I paid someone to take the pics. That's what happens when they don't take pics of wildlife, for that matter snakes.I was told he needed to adjust the white balance.
HA! They look WAYYYYY better in person. I think you'll have trouble capturing their true redness even with someone that has done snake photos.
Thank you. IMHO they're like a red glow stick. By the way any babies yet?
No! lol i think your mot will have babies before my girl decides to drop maybe you should come by some day and tell us what you think besides gotta couple females would like your opinion on
I can stop by someday next week.
Whenever its best for you
Did you make it to pick up aspen this weekend?
Sweet looking. You should call them T Positive Bloods. Boring? maybe, but its all in the name. Take care. Mike Panichi

Thanks Mike. I'm not much for names either but had some support from friends to go ahead and put a name to it. So laying in bed the other night Diablo came to mind, it was a race horse I always bet on back in the 80's.
Thank you all for the nice comments and great suggestions. I was mixed as I like rojo but will keep it short for the herper world lol.
Thanks again for the input.I will get better pics soon.
I am willing to be the bigger man and reluctantly I will accept "EL DIABLO"... I still my favorite name of all time was "Baboon Butt Boa"... then again, What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet...
El Diablo Boa!
