I was reading about the 2 basilicks below. And someone said soemthing about how keeping them warmer and feeding them more causes them to grow more and live a shorter time, is this true in water dragons as you said reptiles. I have a great dane he was kind of like that if you fed him the wrong stuff he would grow bigger but end up with joint problems and die sooner. If anyone could give me some advice on what i should be feeding my yong dragons it would be appreciated one is 12 inches and one is almost 11inches. Right now I feed them whenever they look hungry. which is like two times a day until they stop eating then i take out the crkcets or meal worms or whatever is in there. thanks pamie, draco and spyro.

I haven't seen any studies to show one way or the other, but I am of the opinion that waterdragons like most reptiles should be fed as much as possible during their first two years or until the adult size is reached and then fed less as adults. Over fed adults are fat and will have a shorter life-span. The young, however, will turn any extra food into growth making them stronger healthier adults.
