super duper......

gray May 10, 2010 11:11 AM

I had a small litter arrive late Friday night. I really liked two things about this litter:
1. The parents were both born and raised here
2. The fascinating variety offered even in a small litter of 8

Mom was offering the Jungle mutation while the father was offering another potential dose of the Jungle gene as well as the Hypo mutation. The mother was raised nice and slow.....only 10.9 lbs at 4.5 years of age when the breeding began. There were 8 live and 4 slugs on day 111 POS. The results were 2 Salmon Super Jungles (triple hit), 1 Salmon Jungle, 3 Jungles, 1 Salmon, and 1 Normal. Really neat variety.....from a mostly patternless Salmon Super Jungle with red tongue and red eyes to a normal sibling. Cool.

Very interesting look, I really like the orange/red sphere in the tail pattern that is pretty unique! Congrats on a nice looking litter of healthy boas!

when you take the year off. The next year you have to have it all. Just kidding! Those Salmon Super Jungles are amazing. So what's next? I'm looking forward to the other possibilities you are working with that we discussed last week. Again, beautiful animals.

Take care,
AJ

.....for checking them out.....and the kind comments & support. I still find myself looking in the tub and shaking my head that these 8 animals are from the same parents. We've come a long way in the last decade with the boa mutations. What will we be looking at 10 years from now?

Can't beat a small litter with some stunners in it and good odds!

They look great Gray. I am sure it has to feel pretty rewarding to produce some killer jungles and supers especially from animals you produced yourself. Awesome babies!!!!
