Burlington Pair Update

monklet May 10, 2010 05:17 PM

Here's my two '09 Red X Yellow Burlington Co. NJ siblings. The male (more white) gurged back in late February but has been feeding well since and doing fine. But he's been lapped by his sister. He's 220 gms. and she's 345 gms. in these pics.

Male, looking like he'll be nice high white B&W.

Female, not sure what she'll turn out like. I'd call her "golden" at this point

Very nice. I'm guessing they're about 3-4'? Wow. Both are very nice but I like the female's colors better.

Thanks Matt,
More like about 32 and 40 I'm guessing. I'll see if I can get some lengths today.

Weight is so much easier

Oh I see. I hear ya on lenghts it's not that easy. SnakeWidget is kind of a hassle. My favorite method is noting how far they wrap around the cage and then estimating based on cage length. Usually accurate within an inch or two.

The "wrap around cage" method is the old standby ...but I just don't trust it much. I got an 8 foot 1X6 and marked that off to juse along a wall. It works ok for most snakes but the like to "kink-up" sometimes. Others of course want to crawl up and out...if they'd just do as they're told...damn snakes.

Beautiful. I love how dark the saddles are on both, great examples.

Thanks. I like both, for all black saddles these definitely have that going on...all pure black. Also like the reddish centers too...so much variation. That's why you've got to have one of each
