Height of Cage for Sav.

elidogs May 14, 2010 02:41 AM

Do you think about a 4 foot height is good for the height of s adult savannah monitor cage? I'm building the cage on top of the galvanized steel water tank. Actually I'm not building it I'm supervising its construction.

4ft is plenty. They arent huge climbers, 4ft should be enough room to give a nice elivated basking spot. I am assuming you mean 4ft above the dirt from the description you gave. floor space is weigh more important.

Yeah 4 foot above dirt level. They are hands down the smartest reptiles I have ever worked with so I want them to live well.

My Sav cage is about 4 feet above the dirt level, and she uses every bit of it.
