WTF, why can't they say why they had a warrant?? I'm guessing because they had no reason!! Also they shot his dogs? That is seriously messed up! Something is way off about this.

sex has nothing to do with stealing his reptiles unless he was raping the reptiles...they would have no reason to take them....

.....and I am not being a smartass.....

.they are not related things......all I could think of would be let's say NO gators in the town....or no snakes over 5 foot....but that would let them steal just the reptiles named in the complaint???.........

Oh I completely agree, this is all bull and two dogs got killed over it too.

Was just wondering on a separate thought of what caused that warrant, or if it was just made up at the last second.

I hope we find out the reason they had a warrant, and that it was actually a legit reason.

From what I know about Terry, he's a first rate guy - and he has done lots for Reptile conservation and education. I cannot imagine what prompted this horrendous poloice attack on his animals. This whole things looks ripe for a major lawsuit - but of course lawyers can only do so much... this is about way more than financial damage.

And people say we are a free country! Takes alot of nerve to shoot a dog while it's on it's very own property doesn't it! To bad animals don't have rights, in those cases they should have, maybe a good lawyer would be able to have those officers removed from duty ? One would think they would have to prove they were threatened physically instead of just "thinking they were in danger" in order to justify shooting them and more importantly BEFORE they pulled out any firearms whatsoever the owner should have been given FULL ABILITY to restrain or lock up his dogs ON HIS OWN PROPERTY and the cops should stand down AND WAIT until the owner has that chance to protect his dogs as they are his property and they WERE ON HIS PROPERTY... Anyone thinks otherwise around my dogs will find out quick that the dogs are alot less dangerous than an angry master who sees a family member shot in that very sort of way!

Wish him luck , this is how they will treat alot of people and it's simply wrong!

OMG! Killed his dogs, arrested a woman for "suspicion of neglect", destroyed his home. I hope this results in a huge lawsuit when the truth comes out.

I wonder what role the woman plays. Was she supposed to be caring for the animals while Terry was away (since he is currently unreachable)? Was she herself a pet hoarder and the suspicion has spilled over to innocent property? I would think the Zoo keepers and Animal Rescue volunteers would be aware how this man has contributed to conserving rare species and would hesitate to violate his rights unless necessary. I hope they have lots of space and volunteers to care for all the animals.

....Still mad about the dogs though....

As everyone on this forum has before seen and honest to goodness 30' snake. Give me a break. And I love the way they describe the enclosures as if he was abusing the animals by keeping them in there. Plastic containers and horse troughs. Sounds like pretty standard caging to me. My turtles live in a stock tank. Are the police going to kick down my door, shoot my parrot, and arrest me for it?

Yeah it's not like they were loose outside or anything..As far as i can tell here those dogs were just doing their job of protecting the mans property..Which the police obviously had no interest in doing...,and it stinks to high hell if you ask me.

It really pisses me off about the dogs. They just "HAD" to shoot the dogs (my a$$). It was because the cops are just pussy a-holes that have to hide behind guns.

Terry is a great guy that really knows his stuff. These animals were being cared for as well as anybody has ever kept any reptile. This could be any of us. What has happened to this country? Those police and firefighters laughing and joking while they take his animals and shoot his dogs, heroes? Really courageous shooting a dog in his own house. What is wrong with them that they think that is what America is about?

Chinese Alligators are the some of the most endangered animals on the planet. Terry was working with them and trying to save them. Now, these so called rescues will probably euthanize them like rescues always do when a large number of reptiles are "rescued". I wonder what kind of charges will be brought against the "rescue" if they euthanize an endangered species.

That van said "Madace Animal Rescue" on the side. Does anyone know anything about them? This is such a sad joke.
