Argentine Sunglows born today!

NUCCIZ_BOAS May 14, 2010 08:41 PM

This has been a project a few years in the making.... Back in 2005, I bred an albino male to a pure argentine female. June 18th 2006, I got a litter of 33 argentine crosses 100% het albino, of which I held back and raised a female. She was super red and stood out from the group as you can see in the pic below of her at sub adult age.

So this year she bred with a salmontine het albino from Chris Nicholas, and we were able to get some 50% argentine blooded sunglows, and some killer looking salmontines. One of the salmontines even looks like it might be a jungle or something, pattern is goofy. I pointed him out in the picture with a bright red arrow. I will get better pics maybe tomorrow. Enjoy!

thank you! Don't have an exact count yet, tried counting heads but they keep moving. looks like about 28-30 babies, only 1 slug! I'll have an exact head count tomorrow when I can move them out and get them situated individually

Congratulations Tony ! I know you've been excited about this litter.

They all look nice and healthy , I see some really nice color on some Hypo's.

The non hypo Het's are very much influenced with that Argy look.

Dark with those sort charcoal saddles very pretty actually.

I'll be waiting for pictures !
