Have often can you feed pinkies?

redneck_honey Sep 22, 2003 01:56 PM

I just desided to try to feed my adult female leo a small pinkie. I was so excite that a week and a half later I gave her another. My largest baby from last yr got one last night. She is 26 grams is that okay to give her one? Or should I not? I'm going to breed the adult female. Any help would be nice. Thanks so much. ~Jennie~

I don't think it is required. I have only tried a half dozen or so and none for the last couple of years.

as long as they are big enouph to swallow it they should be ok, I would not feed more than one a week in most cases. More than likely one every two weeks is the best for them unless you are trying to put on weight quick.

make sure they are adult or close to it before feeding a pinky. They can eat some pretty large items. Some will eat horn worms just clip the spike off first. Don't feed wild caught horn worms from tomato or tobacco plants they are toxic.
