Cat's MEOW!

Markus Jayne May 15, 2010 02:02 PM

Let me explain. Last night at around 4 am one of our cats, Tedward, was meowing at our bedroom door. He NEVER does this. He relented until I got up and I thought I would check out the house just to make sure everything was alright.

This morning I got up and checked my snakes which are located in my facility beside my house and low and behold I discovered that I was no longer a boa litter virgin! Did my cat actually know something I didn't?

The female is a pastel from the Regiusco line and the daddy was a sunglow male from Jeff Favelle. Final count...21 boas, 1 still born, 1 kinked neck and 8 slugs. I really didn't know this female was gravid until a month ago because I had not seen her ovulate and I did not record her shed.

Now being a complete newbie at this I'm not really sure what I have here. I'm pretty sure these are normals and a few pastels.

And these are all hypos with some pastel hypos (all dble het for sunglow).

Any input or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for looking!

Markus

First, let me say that your cat is beautiful! And congrats on the litter of course! You got some nice looking babies and a good size clutch. I especially like #3 from the normals and #7 & #8 from the hypos.

Congrats Mark! The babies look great. Welcome to the party!

#3 in the "normal" group is a Hypo and I'll bet you $100 is the membrane mate and identical twin of #4 in the hypo group. I'll bet they are the same sex.

Congrats on a great litter of babies!

That is Such a cool story about your Cat... CONGRATS on that boa litter.

I would say that number 3 on your "normals" when it sheds out will be a HYPO, but they all look great, and congrats onto your Boa adventures. You'll find them a lot more interesting than the ball, lol I love the balls though, but Nothing beats a good Boa litter though....

Not sure if someone already said this but number 3 in the first pic is a hypo as well. Congrats on your first litter and maybe keep that kitty around to keep you on your toes. LOL
