Picture of my Albino Male...

LeosAnonymous Sep 22, 2003 02:20 PM

Had the camera out today working on my site and thought I'd snap a quick picture of my male hog. I love this little guy.

I've got a Nikon Coolpix 4300 coming on Friday, so I should be able to take some outstanding pictures then.

Hope you like him.

I used to live in The Woodlands (just north of Houston), but I'm now living in Bryan/College Station (about 1.5-2 hours away).

I actually have not done much in the way of field herping... mainly because I have never known anyone locally that was interested.

Where are you located in relation to Houston?

West Houston, near Beltway and I10. We herp around here all the time, but also all the way up towards Splendora and as far south as Quintana (that is our normal range). We are planning on heading up that direction though sometime to try and find some TX horridus for pics. Almost like a right of passage lol. Andy

I spent a very pretty penny on this camera coming on Friday, 4.0 megapixels with all kinds of added stuff... so I should be able to take some really awesome macro shots.

If I can't get good enough macro's with the stock lens I'm going to have to invest in a nice 3x telephoto lens, then you should be able to see every detail of every single scale.

It's gonna be fun, especially since right now I'm still using my 1.3 megapixel Canon a50. The difference should be night and day.

Thanks for the kind words, out of all my balls and hogs this guy is my favorite.
