Snowing in St. Louis

jnemani May 16, 2010 12:53 PM

For those of you leary about pos hets here is a friendly sales pitch

2 years ago, pos double het snow female (100% Het Albino/ 50% Het Anery) proved out with a couple anery's and a few albinos.

Last year, pos double het snow female (100% Het Albino / 50% Het Anery) proved out 9 normal pos double het snows and 1 snow in 10 eggs.

This year Anery 50% Het Snow female x double het snow male. 10 eggs. 1 pos double het normal, 1 albino 66% Het Snow, 7 Anerys 66% Het Snow and 1 Male Snow.

Buy those pos hets people, they are such an inexpensive way to get to the morphs we all want and love.

Have a great season all!

Thanks everyone it sure is a thrill hatching out anything but this is always an awesome feeling.

Hey Jeff, If I saw those hatching in my containers I'd have to take another blood pressure pill. LOL. I'm happy for you. Those who said 2010 was going to be a great year for hognose breeders were right.

Hets ae the way to go.

Even with 50% or 66% hets. I have always been lucky with possible hets. Best deal on the market IMO!

And the great thing is. Once you prove out those hets. You can breed back to the het mother or father back to its morph son or daughter to get 50% morphs out of that clutch. And males only take a year to get breeding size.
