"Calico" Rainbow Boa

rainbowsrule May 16, 2010 03:53 PM

I just found a female calico rainbow boa on a forum up here and Canada. I thought it was pretty cool because it lost pigment after a shed kind of like Fluffy did. Just wanted to share!

More details (link) please. That may be the one I was in the process of purchasing when she passed away.

It seems that was the same animal Dave. A pity about what ended up happening. But it does show there are a few out there. Hopefully time till tell us on that one. I certainly plan to hold onto all my het fluffys offspring. I figure, they can all become future breeders cos they stunners in their own right, and we never know if/when/why the change colour may come.

Yeah, that's the same one, too bad her passing away, would really have helped with my Calico project.

How did she die? Do you know?

These snakes *appear* to have vitiligo.....which is an immune-mediated syndrome. It would be really interesting to know if these guys have any other signs of immune disorders.

Absolutely gorgeous! Too bad she's gone. At least I finally know what she looks like now, as I heard Dave was going to pick up another one.
