New Sangria Pics

Hermin Soler May 16, 2010 07:50 PM

Here are some new pics I took of the Sangrias late this afternoon.

For those who don't know about this project, here is the scoop:

I purchased a small group of Columbian siblings from a local importer a few years ago. They were all very deep red (almost purple) in color. In the 2008-2009 season, I paired up two of the siblings and ended up with a litter of 15 babies. All 15 babies came out like the parents. Some even better. I am hoping that these are simple recessive like the CA Bloods. I should get some confirmation around June/July as I bred some of these to unrelated animals. Kind of weird saying this, but I am praying to get all NORMALS!!!

Yes Hermin these look better than the parents. I hope it proves simple recessive as well.

I've been waiting on an update for these Sangria Boas !

I have a single male Boa I purchased(as baby Colombian but not verifiable)
from someone in Texas back in '04.

Turns out he looks much like the lighter colored Bloods you see
and he has dark eyes, he actually reminds more of
the parents of these Boas.

I bred him very late this season to an Arab fem, he tried for
awhile but then gave up.

I have to find another fem I think and try again next season.

Good luck Hermin !

Nice boa!!!

Question, in your previous post you mentioned "he reminds you of the parents of these boas". Did you mean the parents to my Sangrias?

Yes I seem to remember you showing pictures of the parents of the Sangria Boas
or possibly an older litter with a little less intensely red
colored Sangria Boas.
When I saw that post and those Sangria Boas I immediately thought of my Boa.

Although my Boas color doesn't compare to any of the Sangria Boas
I've seen you post.

Its more the way the color looks

Here are some of yours that tend to remind me of mine, mine is way less refined and bright
