This isn't looking too good. Does anyone know this chap? It sounds like he might have a lot to answer for. Answers he has as yet to offer.

I disagree - it looks like the police have a lot to answer for. I don't see in any of the news stories so far that there have been any warrants issued for Terry's arrest. I don't know Terry personally, but as far as I know, it's not illegal to have "a treasure trove of reptiles", or be the owner of defunct businesses, or have business relations in association with a strip club in Milwaukee, keep odd hours, or be out of the country when police decide to break into you building and steal your animals. The fact that his companion is in jail for animal cruelty is disturbing, but I'm inclined to suspend judgment on the matter seeing as though it's same police holding her that needlessly shot and killed their two dogs. No matter how this shakes out, it's obvious that at this point the press has sensationalized and manipulated the perspective on this thing way out of proportion (what's new)- it's much more interesting reading about a "creepy guy" with horrible man-eating reptiles (who could have been living next to you), than just another story of police brutality and corruption.

I'm sure Terry's lawyers are considering how he needs to proceed. Suing a city is no small feat... but this looks ripe to me.

very well put! dan!

I'm with you on this one Dan... Sounds like they are just trying to let out information to justify their actions but that they really don't have a solid leg to stand on.. The comment about condemning the place due to all the animal fecus alone sounds silly and unrealistic to me simply because nobody would be able to even work in there if it had conditions or a smell like they are claiming it had in that building... Anytime there is that number of animals they are going to notice some fecus and some smell as animals do pass waste at all hours of the day.. BUT the way they talked all those animals would be sick or dead if it was really like that in there...That's the press for you, can you say drama!! I guess that's just what it takes to sell papers these days! I agree with Dan, a lawyer will take care of this I will bet, as he surely will have a fair shot at this one in court if there is any justice left in our twisted country!

I completely agree, and I'd just love to see photos of what these 'conditions' really are.

The only thing I've seen that looks questionable is this photo. What snake is that, in a small bin of discolored water?
