Don't know how much you want to spend, but have you seen Vision tubs and Waterland tubs?

The containers i am talking about are not made specifically for turtles or reptiles. I saw them in a documentary about a guy who was raising 1200 turtles in a NYC penthouse.

Do they have to be square? I think Rubbermaid makes plastic cattle tanks but they're round.

Another thought: you could buy one of the large translucent tanks from somewhere like Tractor Supply, the kind of tanks used to hold chemicals for spraying. I think they're roughly square in cross-section. Use a scroll saw and slice it in half "lengthwise" and you'll end up with two "tubs."

A quick search of their site produced primarily cylindrical tanks. I could've sworn I've seen square ones at the local store.

I just looked at a plastics site and found a rectangular plastic tank, 9 ft long, 6 feet wide, 2 feet tall (625 gallon capacity) for $479 (plus shipping). Ouch!

Several companies make square type water troughs and even plastic ponds which are probably what you saw.

These are just 2 places out of many who carry what you described-

I have seen 6 feet long types for sale at pond store (not sure if its a stock tank).

Yes often the shipping is much more than the stock tank itself. Most stock tank places deliver but very limited as to brands, sizes they carry .
