I wanted to know if its best to cool them if so what temps/how long?I dont intend to breed just wanted to know if its best for the snake.

Bianca, although it is more of a natural cycle for the snake to be cooled off during the winter, it isn't necessary if you do not intend to breed it. You can keep it warm throughout the winter months and it should continue to feed, though maybe not quite as much as in the summer months.
If you do cool it off, temps between 55-60 F during Dec thru early March are sufficient. If you do cool it off, make sure the animal has been eating well and has sufficient body weight to withstand the cooling period. Don't feed it for 2-3 weeks before beginning the cooling period.

Thank you very much.It was alot of help.I decided since I am not going to breed it and its a baby wont hibernate it.He lives in a 30 gallon long with a hide a box over a cobra heating pad under one side of tank and a hide box under the cool side.Will just keep the set up as is than.
