housing some arrows.

Red-Eye-Ray Sep 22, 2003 03:21 PM

Hi all. I've raised many a Red Eye Tree frog, and am wanting to get into arrows also.. I know that it is best that I choose specifics as far as which arrows before I talk about housing the frogs, but I have seen a lot of conflicting info.

I was looking into possibly getting some azureus, but would like more than just one pair of frogs. I was also looking at a local store today at some tanks that I could get for the frogs. I found a really nice 60 gal hex tank, but have read that it's better to get a long tank for arrows. Is there a certain size tank that I could get (if I also allow a good amount of hiding) where I could get more than just one female? I plan on getting froglets instead of adults, and hopefully breeding them later.

If I'm looking for more frogs (I'd like at least five or six), should I look into a different species to fulfill that want?

Thank you in advance for any help. Thanks also to rc_racer_007 for the incredible beginners guide.

hi,
If you want to keep a group i would recomend some leucomelas or maybe galactonotus, both of those frogs can be kept in groups. For a group of four of these frogs i would say you get maybe a 40 gallon tank at least.
Hope this helps
