MBK EGGS!

KINGBOA May 18, 2010 07:32 PM

I got home from work today (raining in MA.) and my MBK dropped her first egg. It was about 2 3/4" long and about7/8" wide. Now I am watching her lay the rest of her clutch. 4 so far and number 5 is on its way. I've been reading FR's post about colubrid eggs over and over to see if their good or not. I just wanted to thank everyone who gave me advice especially Rainer who responded to all my stupid questions. I've kept reptiles for over 30 years and I've breed boas so this was a new adventure for me. Again thanks to everyone. Steve

Congrats! Post some pics of the adults if you can. I love MBKs.

I'll post them as soon as I can. My fiance's working on it now. All 12 eggs look viable, blood vessels in them with a little dot at or near the center of the blood vessels. I hope they all make it. When I post pics of the parents I'll post pics of the eggs as well. The female looks like a garter snake right now after laying.
