How about a Spider,a Lesser,a Fire, a Cinnamon. I think any 2 of these females would put you at your $700 or under. With the male and female Pastels you can make more Pastels and hopefully a Super Pastel, Using your male Pastel to a Spider will give you a Spider, a Pastel,a Normal and if the Odds gods are smiling on you a BumbleBee. Using him to a Lesser will let you make Lesser Pastels besides Pastels and Lessers ,a Fire will let you make Fires, Pastels and FireFlies, the Cinny will let you make Cinnies, Pastels and Pewters and a Normal or two thrown into each of these possible baby groups.. I am sure you will get many different answers about what 2 female Morphs to pick up. Remember those are all Codom gene Morphs, well excluding the Spider and if you happened to pick up a recessive Morph such as a Clown or in this case a het Clown, an Albino, a Pied or Het Pied that type of thing you are looking at several years to make the recessives. Just stick with the simple Dom and Codoms right now for what you are looking to do. Oh, one other thing that I learned the hard way. Buy your female Morphs and start growing them up now. If they are babies you can wait almost 2 yrs before buying any males should you decide to get some males in the future. I bought males and females from the git go and you dont need to be feeding males for 2 or 3 yrs while you are waiting on your females to grow up. Males mature sexually in about a year give or take a bit and it takes females nearly 3 yrs to reach breeding size and sexual maturity. Now here is another cheap way to get a jump on some babies. Buy 2 or 3 breeding size female normals that you can put your male Pastel to next year. They are cheap, usually about $100 or so each plus shipping and that way you can be on your way to making your own Pastels while you are waiting on your newly bought females to get up to size. Good luck, Jay
