White Wall Question......

Jlassiter May 19, 2010 09:37 PM

I got this male from my buddy Tom Stevens......He is a possible het whitewall holbrooki.......I got a few others along with him and noticed while he was young that he had a solid yellow ventral....so did a couple others. I thought that that trait was some kind of marker for the definite hets for whitewall.....

Well......I saw a picture of a recently wild collected whitewall and thought it was outstanding.......

As this male has aged I can see the cream / yellow even with his jaw line all the way down to the tip of his tail......

Is he actually phenotypically expressing the whitewall trait.......I have had many Holbrooki in my life and cannot recall one that has such high lateral pattern that stops so ubruptly......Are there such things as super whitewalls and normal whitewalls??????

I know I am just speculating but check out the picture.....
