Hi,
I have a 65 gallon aqaurium (river tank) the bottom 15 galoons have running water and the top is dry. The back has a plastic rock wall on it. On top of this aquarium is an all screen cage that is 65 galoons as well. I was wondering if a chameleon could live in such an aqaurium seeing as the bottom is glass but there is a lot of room in the top screen cage. Thabk you for all of you help - Mevi

I would say no. Chams are not very good swimmers and can drown in a small amount of water, so i would say a tank with any depth of water in it at all would be a bad thing. Also, even though the top is screen the bottom is still glass and you'd still have the problems of air stagnating and glass reflection to stress the cham and grow bacteria.
Id say this is probably a good setup for a water dragon or basilisk.

Not for a chameleon,no. Basilisk may liek it. May be a little small for a Water Dragon,which needs just as big of an enclosure as a chameleon. But a baby might appreciate it. Maybe some frogs or something if your into that sort of thing? Id love to have that for some of my frogs. Hand it over! :-p
