Orange Peruvian Rainbow Boas

Jeff Clark May 20, 2010 11:45 AM

Lately I have been posting PICs of my red Peruvians. Peruvian Rainbow Boas are often darker and/or redder than Brazilians but there is much variation in their colors just like the color variation in Brazilians. Here are a couple of orange ones.

This first photo is one of my 2009 babies. She is getting ready to shed and has just started turning opaque.

These next three photos are a 2008 female.

Peruvians too me always seem to be more colorful than Brazilians.

Most of my adults are more intense red than most Brazilians but there is enormous amount of variation in the color of both subspecies. Baby Peruvians are often dark colored.
