Interesting question....

Lucien Sep 22, 2003 04:37 PM

Okay... I have a female het. Blizzard leo who's over a year and a half old. I thought her coloring was fixed already but she seems to be getting darker.. alot darker than she was... I was just wondering if anyone's noticed this as a seasonal change or is it just something that happens sometimes. I've never really read anything that said they got any darker at certain times of year... but hey...its possible I would guess.. and she just shed so I know it isn't that..

from my experience blizzards get dark for two reasons... they are at too cool temps (this could be caused by the normal changing of the seasons) or they are stressed. well and also if you see sick blizzards they often look very dark but that kinda goes along with the stress thing, stress on the body and being sick. i am sure it's prolly just the temps or the season

She's only a Het. Blizzard not a full Blizzard... Her mate, the full Blizzard isn't changing color at all.. He's staying his normal, every day self.. *L* Its mostly her spotting getting darker..
