Windex?

I want to clean one of the snake cages tonight and I was wondering if Windex is safe to use to clean the inside glass? It is my intention to remove the occupant of the cage and all the furnishings and put down fresh newspaper. I was thinking it would be ok to use Windex as long as I let it air out for a significant amount of time and I didn't spray it directly on the glass but used a paper towel to apply it instead. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I wouldn't think it would be good to use any sort of house hold chemical. If you really want to disenfect it you could use very diluted bleach and then rinse off the cage very well. But others may know better than me.

I do use Windex but I use the Vinegar Windex, it's clear, with a yellowish label. I use it to clean almost all of my rubbermaids with no ill effects. I have been using it for almost two years.
