Rosie laid six big healthy eggs last night.
She usually lays seven.
I'll have to have a talk with her....lol

Jimmy, those some nice lookin' eggs!I'd much rather have a small number of large healthy eggs than a crapload of puny little ones any time!My favorite okeetee layed some small ones this season. Jeff

That is a fine looking sight Jimmy. My male went off feed for a brief spell, (breeding season of course) now he's back to destroying rodents.
What's your breeding season look like this year? Steve

I've cut back a little this year and I'm running a little behind but when all is said and done I should only have around 130 eggs..give or take a few.
I've been wondering...did that snow develop much yellow or did it stay nice and white like it's mother?

Jimmy, that snow did end up with more yellow then I had hoped for. That's just one of those things that's hard to predict. I'd say the best way to go is pickup a subadult to adult that has already been influenced by the yellow pigmentation. Funny thing, my snow may have not turned out like the mom, but you can bet my bairdi are looking more and more like Sam and Rosie. I'd give up every corn in my collection before I'd give up those two. Steve
