Big Desert King...

This is my only non-Pituophis, a six foot desert Cal king. Some photos from 2008, 2009 and 2010...
At 5.5 feet plus in 2008

Posted these two last year (2009)


...and today, May 22, 2010 in his 35.5" x 17.5" x 17.5" tank. He is now officially a six footer...

That's a nice big beauty.

Here's a couple of shots from my a Cal King I had back in '02. terrible old camera but they're all I can find of her. She was 13 years old in these pics & a legit 5 plus footer, raised her from a wee baby & then for some odd reason turned insane and sold her lol. Wish I still had her.

Wow, that is incredible. I've only seen one like that I estimated at 6' and it was also a desert phase at the reptile exhibit at the living desert in Palm desert CA. Thanks for sharing. Thats awesome!

Thanks everyone! He is a very special animal to us. Has a very inquisitive nature and will emerge from his hide nearly whenever someone enters the room that we keep him in. Not a biter either although I've had a few close calls at feeding time. Makes me wish I had a large, similarly patterned female for him to breed with...
