some cool birthing shots DUW

mike_panic May 24, 2010 10:12 AM

This het T-pos female went 107 days. After the thousands of eggs I have seen layed and hatched, this is the first birth I have witnesses so It was pretty cool. Up until today, I always missed the birth for whatever reason. This time, from the very first puddle of goo(first photo)to the very last baby, I was there. It was really cool to watch. Thanks for looking. Mike Panichi

Congrats Mike! I was breeding Boas for five years before I saw my first baby Boa being born. It is really frustrating to keep seemingly just missing it. The first litter I ever had I checked the female at about 8:45 PM and she looked kind of funny. By the time I checked again at 9:30 PM it was all over. I would produce more than 20 litters more before I saw the first baby born. Then on a day that I brought a guy from work home to see the snakes a female named "Louise" starting having those babies while he was there. I got great pictures of it too! 49 babies in that litter. Guess what everyone was talking about at work that next day. Great fun!

Congrats on a great litter too! Gotta love that!

Great pics Mike and killer babies plus witnessing the whole birth. It doesn't get any better than that.
