my Water Dragon and I are really jealous. That looks so nice! Willing to give an estimate? Are you going to put windows or screen on the other two doors? or am i blind? I think i may need to steal that idea. So nice looking!
You could put windows on the doors also, but I decided not to. My male water dragon has such a bad problem banging glass with his nose I decided to go with minimal windows. I didn't want the window to be associated with a "way out", so I decided not to have windows on the doors. I also didn't want the window to run all the way to the floor or the ceiling making it hard for them to rub their nose. I keep climbing sticks a good ways from the window so they can't jump into the window either.
An estiment? I didn't really keep recipts and add up the total cost, if I had to guess, wood and supplies only cost about $250, then the cost of the pond, the lights, the powersun, the pumps for the pond, etc...Probably 5-$600 after it was all said and done.
Its just so neat. Its inspired me,thats my next project now, lol. In my next house there is a big walk in closet, forget the clothes, im making a water dragon home.
Is that primarily framed with 2x4's and then ply? Did you use any sealant on the interior? Although the functional stuff looks to be finished, please post pics once you have paneled as well.
Congrats, you should have very happy dragons.
