My son called me into the bathroom last night, "Mom, you've got to see this!" I turned the corner and said, "See what?" and he said, "See that grey rat coming out of the wall!"

There was a pretty little yearling grey rat, sitting on top of the light switch box that has come loose from the wall. I picked it up and held it for a while, and it never musked or bit. Put it in a small snake bag 'til I can decide what to do with it this evening. I might keep it.

This is the third wild grey rat found in my house over the years. One found its way into the rat room and boy were its eyes big! LOL! The other was found on a picture frame in the living room trying to figure out how to reach the finch cage.

You must live where grey rats abound, lol. I had a call a few years ago from my wife and said she found one of my Corn snakes curled up in the kitchen drawer. I told het she had to catch it cause at that time all I had were my Abbott Okeetees. She doesn't mind snakes but she's not brave enough to just grab one. I coaxed her into grabbing it real quick and throwing it into a pillow case. I told her they were super tame and it wouldn't bite. Well when I got home and I looked into the bag it wasn't one of my Corns, lol. When she realized she had grabbed a wild Corn she almost passed out! I still have that Corn today, I call him "Kitchen".
