I´m new to this forum, my Name is Christoph. I will introduce myself later but this is really important to me: In 2008 I bought 0,1 Heterodon nasicus and I am not really sure about its sex.

Maybe some of you could guess...

It's still a girl. Just as it was sold as.

Thanks for your opinion. A year ago i started that question on another board and the quotings were 3 times male, 4 times female; so I wonder about more quotes...

Can you tell me why you think that it´s a female?

Based on the length and shape of the tail, I am 100% sure it's a female. A males tail at that age would be 50% longer and swolllen.

Tahnk you very much. I totally agree beacause of the shape but because of 32 subcaudalia I had a little doubt. But it wa sold als a "long female". Do you know other examples of that kind?

Their tail lengths can vary slightly, but yours doesn't seem "long" at all. When you look at a male and female side by side, it it quite obvious. Here is a pic of two of my animals that are about the same age as yours. The male is on the right.

I had a littlw doubt seeing the first pic, but after seeing 2 & 3, I agree....female. Nice looking snake too.
