These are all first generation Captive bred from wild caught Corns near my home in Polk County Florida.

Those are sweet!
I dig their half-orange reduced pattern bellies.
It's almost like they're bloodred "wanna be" corns.
It's cool to see breeders working with locality-specific stuff.

Thanks, for the compliment! I have to say that this does proove something though. The offspring of these guys are quickly looking much better than the parents in just one generation. So after a few generations of selective breeding they won't resemble the wild population at all. I suspect this happens with a lot of local specific animals in a broad range of species. Have you ever looked at captive bred Red milks for instance and then looked at wild caught? My point is some guys brag about their pure local breeding groups but they no longer represent the wild sampling. Any thoughts?

These were found here by relatives and given to me. Both were babies and Didn't seem too special at the time, but boy I'm glad i kept them.

The male is the darker one.

This is the male's belly. Do these guys look caramel to anyone else?
