Have they all shed yet? I wait to offer food until they have all shed.

After they shed the first time is when most people usually start. if they don't take the pinks after a few attempts you may need to try scenting the pinks.

My experience has been that they often shed within the first few hours out of the eggs and often eat the first day. Try lizard scenting. The pic here is of 1 eating on the 2nd day.

I had a clutch of eggs hatch on May 23 and 5 of the 8 took a f/t pinkie a week later.
will hatchlings starve to death...........how long can they go before they want to eat, tried tuna juice, salmon, live and f/t.Has anyone had success with bluebelly lizards scenting, or horned frog(pac man)..........or like most times is it just patience, and if so where can I get some,lmao......
thnx again
worried dad,lol
I offer my hatchlings food every 4 days, and if after 6 offerings they do not eat, I start to try tuna scenting and the other tricks. Baby hognose are not "picky" when it comes to eating baby mice, but some just do not recognize them as food or they find the scent threatening, so if you do not try a few different tricks they can starve themselves because of this, but I have found that baby hognose snakes are very hardy animals when provided with the proper husbandry (plenty of drinking water, temps, etc.) so I wouldn't get worried just yet! It's all about patience.

Also want to mention...try to get a toad and freeze it in water so it doesn't shrivel up. Refreeze and rethaw as necessary to use for scenting.
thank you.
Finely, almost 4wks later

nice, now they can grooow
