On a serious note, I am a bit concerned for the Everglades ecosystem's future, what with the uncontrolled oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and the Hurricane season upon us.
It could be ecologically devastating should the perfect storm occur and send a tide of crude oil to over wash the Everglades and surrounding areas. The possibility of the oil entering the aquifer is a real one and probably even more serious over a larger area and for a greater period of time.
In the event of such an occurrence, we won't have to worry about the Pythons any longer, or any other life, for that matter.
