Guess...yeah that's all you get.

I thought that it was kind of cool how much consistent black and white scales he has.

Okay without looking at the answer I am going to say zonata multicincta because the white band are shaped different than on a Cali king, being more even all the way down instead of widening out towards the belly like a Cali.
Well, I was close! LOL! At least he is a zonata! A very handsome fellow, at that!
That happens to be a Cascade mountain king. Natural intergrade in NorCal between the St. Helena form (zonata zonata) and the Sierra/Nevada form (zonata multicincta). ANd if we're going to be concurrent and trendy, it's referred to simply as a "northern clade" zonata whereby no ssp classification is held (quite a crock in my opinion, but oh well....).

And God said, "Let there be zonata subspecies for all to ponder..."
Ding ding ding! We have a winner! Your prize is...satisfaction in your knowledge.
It's kind of cool how much straight black and white this guy has.
You got it, but the locale is just 50% correct. It's pretty hard to guess the exact ssp. off of just a few triads(?). lol Nice job.
