How do you do it?

My BRB ovulated on May 27th so she hasn't even had her POS yet and the wait is already killing me, lol.

Thanks

Hey Zach,

With years you learn to be patient. At least you have the experience of others to have a clue when events will happen!!

Her pos is due give or take the 12th. From ovulation she should be due early October. You still have a LONG ways to go, don't start pacing just yet

When I started breeding there was little to no info readily available, there was not even much of a internet. Yeah, I am that old I had to learn it all from scratch and for years I had no idea when individuals were due, just thet they looked gravid and uncomfortable and some time early fall they would be really skinny and hopefully there would be little ones in trade.

The female was one that I saw in January of 06 and I knew I had to get her and breed her because even at 2 months of age she had amazing color, not like other's I've seen. I grew her nice and slow and now that she's gravid it's killing me even more to see what she produces, lol.

This will be my first live birth, so it's just quite excited for me, with the blood pythons it's nice because you get an ovulation then 15-20 days later the POS, then 30 days later you get to get your hands on some eggs, and then 60 days some quite angry little bloods. Unlike this where I'm sitting here waiting for 130 days after ovulation to see if she gives me a nice healthy litter.

It's tough! On top of my own excitement, I have a 9 year old son asking me 6 times a day, "Anything Dad"?????????? That's OK, it won't be as much fun, 2 weeks into cleaning 40-50 babies!
