het sentinels hatching!--2nd clutch

bsr inc Jun 03, 2010 08:38 PM

Our first and second clutches have pipped--

first was just spider to normal, but 5 eggs--5 spiders--I am hoping this male turns out to be a super!

second clutch is from our sentinel (super paintball) male bred to an unusual normal. The babies look cool and cant wait for them to come out of the egg. The sentinels are awesome. They are the super form. Last year we produced orangebelly senthets---They are gorgeous at a year. This year we should have 6 clutches of senthets fathered by a sentinel, so all the babies will be codom het sentinels. We also have 2 clutches of sentinel to sentinel so they should all be sentinels as pictured--cannot wait to see what these guys look like in pastel!

So is there some kind of law against posting pics of the paintballs?
All I ever see is pics of the super form...

yes

statute 27-145673-the anti-farm baby morph pirate statute

states that subtle codoms that create spectacular supers are not to be shown, photographed or shared with the general public so that no person or persons will attempt to dig through farmed shipments from africa to look for said morph. Not only it important to protect the value of the morph, but also public safety that can be put in jeopardy from overcrowding at reptile dealers that import shipments from africa. This law was put into efffect after the yellowbelly rush of 2002 which resulted 2 casualties at the miami international airport and more than 12 serious injuries at various importers in florida and california.

JUST KIDDING--I am going to take some pics when they hatch and shed! If I took pics now they would be of an egg with a slit in it!

Thank the Gods...

Honestly, I understand protecting projects, and not wanting what you mentioned above...
but they've been out of a while now and I have yet to see one of the non-supers.

Plus...one day I will have the money to buy one, and I am not going to buy one without a pic of it.
Posting pics of the super and saying "trust me, they're the codom form" doesn't work for me...especially if it's a subtle morph.

I will make sure to post some pics when they come out and shed---I will also take some pics of my yearling yellowbelly het sentenels and post them as well

snakesatsunset Jun 04, 2010 12:39 PM

The problem is not showing YOU the picture, is showing you the picture and posting it everywhere where other BIG breeders can see it, go through their 500-1000 adult normals and start the project from there, mass produce them, and then sell them alot cheaper, alot faster AFTER you bought one orignally for a triple or more price. Its hard to offer a snake to individuals when most wont buy it , but post pics everrywhere. Not saying you, just in general.....
