I got NIX in my BP's eyes.

hey is it ok if i got a bit of NIX in my ball python's eyes while spraying him and the cage? a couple people told me just to spray him all over but it seems like it hurts his eyes alot. ive done it about twice in the last 5 days now and im just checking to make sure before i continue trying to get rid of the mites.
