BP Egg Temps

hbsnakes Jun 05, 2010 06:30 PM

I have some eggs in the incubator but I have the temp a bit on the high side - about 90 - 90.7ish. It is steady at that temp. I'm having a hard time getting it to regulate when I turn it lower. If I turn it down a degree it goes way down to about 87.2ish. I've decided to keep it steady at the 90 - 90.7ish range where it has been for a couple of weeks now and the eggs are looking just fine.

This is my first time cooking BP eggs. I've been okay with Burmese Python eggs a little on the high temp side.

I was hoping to get some input from others about the temp being in the 90 - 90.7 range for BP eggs. Any major problems?

Thanks.

Yes, the babies will hatch very small, will not absorb their yolk and will be problem eaters, not to mention you are flirting with the highest occurences of birth defects. The difference between almost 91 and 87 is typically 5 days and much stronger, healthier, better animals.
