Just knocked two more species of "What can I find in 30 minutes"

I never really thought I would see these so close, 10 minutes from my house.

Skiltons Skink, Eumeces skiltonianus skiltonianus

And a huge Western Yellow bellied Racer Coluber constrictor mormon found 30 minutes from home, this beast was haggered.

Just so people realize our western racers are nowhere near as big as the ones out East. A four foot animal is BIG.

Thanks for looking,
Nate

Hi Nate,

That racer is a brute! Last time I saw one that big was in the mid 1970's near Spokane. Great find. I love seeing these odd giants.

That one looks larger than average for around us, I do love the pink they get in the desert.
