South Texas today...

jpenney Jun 06, 2010 04:26 PM

Chris McMartin and I went for a road cruise today here in S. Texas looking for Indigo's and Retic Collards. We didn't find and Indigo's but we saw three Retics and got photos of just one.
We did see a HUGE one but he saw me reaching for my camera and shagged..

Nice Reticulated collareds are weird looking ain't they?
This week had been really productive earlier (Tuesday) but yesterday and today are too damn hot. If not for the herps, it's at least too hot for me! It was 90 degrees by 9am yesterday...I tried to go field herping and bagged it up after about an hour. Tried again later on, around 4 but it was still over 100 by then and I didn't last long.
I saw a few cnemmies (one dead and being eaten by ants, really gross to watch but fascinating). Pretty but MAN it was too hot to keep going.

We wouldn't have 6 and a half billion people if you had to be beautiful to get laid.
