Butters and Lessers......

jlsreptiles2011 Jun 07, 2010 08:55 AM

What is the deal with lessers and butters? Are they the same morph and called different things or are they just completely different morphs? Just asking because to me they look very similar. Also do butters produce blue eyed lucistics or black eyed?

This topic has been beaten around for a long long time. Check out these threads and see if that helps:

Butter vs. Lesser Platy

POLL - Lesser/Butter = same morph????

Lesser Genetics?

If you search the Archives you will find even more. It is a common and heated debate with no real answer. The same argument has taken place for Black Pastels vs. Cinnamons.

Lessers and Butters both produce Blue Eyed Leucistics, even when bred to one another.
