I haven't had the time to post any messages or pics of my hogs as they are maturing and starting to show their red. I've really been very busy with the new retail shop, Bicycle John's, and caring for my collection. I've had time to take a quick look at the forum post and just wanted to say Congratulations to everyone. This really does appear to be the year of the hog.
Just amazing, snows, anerys, toffees, anacondas, albinos, and I suspect that we will see more amazing combos. Just a few years ago our only morphs were albinos and hypos. Thanks to a few dedicated breeders and a few lucky breedings, we have a lot more morphs and an endless list of combos. Interest in hognose is at an all time high as well. Just my opinion.
Congratulations to Everyone.

PS.. yes, I am breeding this year and should have some nice project stock. I'm just several weeks behind everybody else.

It's been a hit and miss for me already this season (my first attempt at breeding Hognose).

I had one female become egg bound and pass away. The three eggs that she did pass were infertile. I have a second female that is of Carlsbad locality bred to a Carlsbad male give me 11 egg's, one of which was infertile, and another that I mistakenly threw in the toilet...lol The other 9 are perfect and cooking away.

Anything good or bad for me this season is all good experience in preparation for next season where I will have 10 or more females ready to go.

I really cannot wait to see what is in store for Hognose this season, as we are still waiting for updates on the Spiders and Lavenders....plus who knows what may pop up that we were not expecting!!!
