Ok i have had this Sav from a baby he is about 6 months old or so now. He has been haveing probs walking and as of today has no controll of his back leggs. He drags himself to walk around anyone know what this is caused by. Im taking him to a vet tomorrow to see if they know what might be wrong with him but it dont look good. He eats great and loves to be in his water and such soim not sure where this all came from it happen so fast.He looks healthy he just cant use his back leggs at all which is a big prob. I hope that the vet can make things right with him but any info will help me out ty.

What is his diet?

How are his temps?

Its good that you are taking him to the vet.

His room temp is 80 and his bask spot is 120. He eats pinkys ground turkey and insects.

Are you giving him vitamin and calcium suppliments? Usually when using whole prey items you dont have to use them as much, but in the case of pinkies there bones arent fully developed so they do not have the calcium an older mice or rat would have. I usually get hoppers or small mice and cut them up. And how is the humidity?

I like to get the temps upwards of 130 for the hot side. The cool side you mentioned sounds about right. We are talking surface temps not air temps. Also I always gut load my feeder insects..the dubia roaches I breed are always eating crushed cat food and goldfish flakes and the crickets I gut load for about a day or two before feeding. You can give the crickets that flukers calcium stuff.

The rodents I buy frozen have no idea what they were fed. Long story but that is what is working for my savs. Hopefully a vet can offer more/better advice.

Well he is dead now passed away today ; ;. The vet said she had no idea what was wrong with him she hadnt seen anything like it before. This was my fourth savannah and they have all been fine i have never had a prob with any till now. Suck cause i really liked this little guy he was fun to watch and always came up to you for a head scratch he will be missed.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe he pinched his spine or something.
