I never cease to be amazed ------------

jcherry Sep 23, 2003 12:23 AM

In the last 4 days we have had three clutches of Southern Pines born, I never cease to be amazed at how big they are born. All 23 of them are over 14" in length and bigger than your thoumb. These guys will take large fuzzies for the first meal with no problem. These are the Ocala Florida line we have been working with.

Just thought I would share.

my amel southern pines started hatching and they are also big. Not as big as the red bulls but close. John I believe you bought some amel babies from this pair last year. This is first amel to emerge from the egg completely. Ron

My rescued brevard co. pine is one of my favorites. He was about that size when he was found last March in a residential area. Now he's easily 30-35"- started on small rat fuzzies 2 days after capture and never looked back. Now I just wish 1) FL would allow breeding, and 2) I could find a female from the same area.
