Hi guys, I know how much you love pictures so I thought I'd share. This is a female Giant Salamander at the Buffalo Zoo. I thought she was pretty neat. Never knew there even was a Salamander this big! She lives in a temperature controlled 55 degree pool. They have a pair and are going to build a nice public exhibit for them. Hope you enjoy the pics

Those are insane!!! I never thought salamanders got that big. Where do they live in the wild???

i believe theyre from china or somewhere in asia. not sure though, i never got much into amphibians.
a few weeks ago there was a show on animal planet or discovery channel or something about these giant salamanders.. the biggest one they have is like over 3 feet long (or is it 4..) anyway its freakin huge and almost took some guys arm off... definetly from some oriental country.. dave
A funny thing happened at school on Friday, we were lined up and someone came and got me screaming about a huge salamander, i went over to the place, and everybody was screaming, but it was a fvelined skink. lol i laughed an laughed cuz everybody was thinknin t was a salamander and then everybody argued with me that t was a slalmander...
