Northern Pines Hatching!

nodaksnakelover Jun 08, 2010 11:27 AM

My first clutch of Northern Pines is hatching. My nine year old high white female laid a small clutch of five. Only four of those were fertile, and yesterday they started to hatch. One is out, and the second is still in the egg. Sure nice to see some Pines hatching! Enjoy the pics!

I am envious! What beautiful little pine babies! Today my fence lizards are hatching, but I am sure looking forward to the day I too can post great pics of hatchling baby snakes.

Cool. Any pics of momma? I'm waiting on some eggs myself, another couple weeks hopefully. Can't wait. Do you slit your eggs at all after the first one pips out?

Safe to say those are the nicest B/W pines I've seen. You might be the first to start a reduced pattern all white northern pine. Hey, that almost makes you a morph guy(LOL).

as much as I love the black and white line, I actually love the high contrast animals that also show red between the scales and red splotches in between the black blotches in the tail area the best.

Likewise....

Congrats on the clutch, is that a small one for her?

Those are absolutely stunning animals. That is probably the nicest pine I've ever seen. That male is spectacular.
